You know, to "avoid the pain" of childbirth. According to E!Online anyway. No word on the actual name--but I guess she considered "London" (in honor of the city in which her romance with K-Fed blossomed).

And C-sections, I know about. In the plural. I've never been in labor. And it still hurts. For days. But, then, I didn't take all the meds. :)

Damn that was alot of pain! I had to have the c-section and was very disappointed when they told me that it was the healthiest option left on the table.
I hope that they gave her a crappy cut and that her boobs fill so fast that she forms new stretch marks!

Of course, there was no choice right after surgery. I know they complied, because I am not above going to the nurses station and reading the chart. I can be very bad. In a nice way. :)

but I refused to push the plunger. They didn't like that. And I refused all other offers of meds except for stool softeners, ferrous sulfate (I was very anemic before my daughter was born and the surgery made it worse), and one dose of tylenol.
They knew I meant business.

Actually, it worked pretty well. That was the second time. I didn't have a push thing. The nurses just came around and asked me, for some patients they just gave the shots. I was pretty clear about the asking part. They were good.

I read everything I could about the subject (both natural and c-section). I had decided to nurse early on (from the moment I found out I was pregnant there was no question). They said that it wouldn't trace into the breast milk but I didn't trust that answer. I wanted as little as possible in my system-I even gave up all caffiene (hardest thing I ever did).

the morphine and deeply appreciated it.

I can't imagine what possesses a woman in childbirth thinking she has to suffer through the pain when modern science has helped us ease it with good medications; it accomplishes nothing to be writhing in agony and clenching one's teeth in exhaustion.

After my c-section, I had a good night's drug induced sleep (after 36 hours of unrequited labor) and got to play with my baby when I woke up, quite rested and refreshed. I let the nurses and docs in charge handle the important stuff while I regained my footing so to speak; as the professionals that I had personally chosen, I had every bit of trust and faith in their work, and they did us all just great.

There is no heroism in giving birth in agony; it's just childbirth, women do it every day. You may as well enjoy it!

I can take it-it wasn't that big of a deal.
I had a birthing plan and it wasn't followed. I was not happy at all. I had nearly 2 days of labor and slept long enough for the drugs from delivery to wear off.
Besides, there are enough addicts in my family (read: probably shouldn't have too many drugs around) and I have done better drugs than what they were giving me. I didn't want anything else. Getting up and moving around was the best thing for me. Lying in bed made me cranky. I wanted to be up and moving at the first oportunity.
I was in much worse agony when I shattered my hand.
