You know, the actors that play the weird roles, villains and the psychos. The fellas you love to hate, sympathize with, or the ones who just make you say, WTF?

Manchurian Candidate.

More modern, with big business being the "Manchurian" part. Echos of Halliburton.

Not as good as the first, but certainly had an eerie atmosphere, and kept me on edge.

And Frances McDormand has played some kind of oddball roles. But they're the only ones I could think of offhand.

I think she got the oscar for Fargo, but I could be mistaken. She was sort of a weird sister in Something's Gotta Give.

I can't ever remember saying "Holy Shit" at the movies outside of the time he did that tap dance number in "Pennies From Heaven." I found out later that he started out as a song and dance man. Who would have thought it?

Just finished seeing him in Sleepy Hollow for the first time, a longtime patron of his other movies.

XD He once said something like he wanted to play the father in a movie with a nice wife, a dog and a couple of kids, but nobody ever cast him in that kind of role.

Three actors on my poll are in that movie. I suppose that is what got me on the subject!

I love Johnny Depp in that movie, he is so quirky and jumpy.

on edit: Check out the movie "Around the Bend". It recently came out on DVD. He plays a father who is trying to make up leaving his kid at a young age. Great cast, Michael Caine is in it as well.

He was the only reason I bought it (Well, Depp was a semi-good reason), and then he only said "Shh" and "RAWR" in the whole thing. XD

liked him in True Romance. He is definitely off the beaten path, but his characters are always interesting.
