Reality tv has got nothin' on this city council meeting I'm watching.

So I'm watching this city council meeting because there's supposed to be something coming up about my neighborhood.

It hasn't come on yet because for the last hour and a half it's been nothing but people bitching out a contractor and the city. One of the city councilmen referred to it as "testifying." He also urged the angry people to go sit in front of the mayor's office in protest. I believe he was being sincere.

One lady was in tears and going off on a full on rant for about 15 minutes, and now this other guy is threatening to sue anybody who breathes, apparently.

It's hilarious and amazing all at once. It's all about crooked contractors. If my goofy stupid town can get it together and have it out over this, why can't my Federal government handle it? Is democracy now that quaint?

1. I've been sucked in on those meetings too.

Sometimes when I've flipping through our channels, I'll see our local government at work. Fascinating! I love it when people appear to get a zoning variance.

2. It was hilarious! It's still going but I couldn't take it anymore so I

had to do something else for a while.

The man just wanted a stop sign, dammit! Let the 45 hour debate commence!
