Student Loan Consolidation: Academic Loan Group -- anyone use them?

I'm several years out of school and long ago consolidated my loans with the Fed. Now I keep getting notices from private lenders to consolidate my loans with them and they'll give me lower rates and some case. I'm looking into it and it all APPEARS legit: I keep the same terms, but with a lower fixed rate (1% after 36 months of on time payments) than I already have, get 1% of ,y loan back in cash as a rebate (the amount of which does NOT get added to my loan).

I have 3 questions for DUers:

1)Anyone here ever use a company called Academic Loan Group, are they a legi company?

2)Anyone here re-consolidate their loans, if so what do you think? and

3)Can anyone think of anything I might be missing?
