I got the house I wanted!

I just got back from signing the contract! Now I finally have somewhere to move to in two weeks! (whew)

My new landylady said that she received 24 applications in two days for the place, but she said she chose us even though we have two cats and a dog and were the only applicants who had pets. She said she liked me when we met, and when all my references checked out ok, that was that!

I'm stunned! This is better than good! My new home will be close to perfect!

(sorry but I was starting to sweat there for awhile...)

2. he hasn't been around for two days now

plus the day before that I just saw him from a distance, sprinting across the street going neither to nor from my place.
He still has 16 days, though...

However I'm sure the excitement will soon abide and it'll be back to packing...
