Like I said, it's been a long time, and I was never fluent. Can you explain how you'd say "they taste sand" as in the people are actually tasting sand, as opposed to something tasting like sand? Merci!

Illegal to possess in the US. These are AVERAGE sized ones, and the buggers can live up to 10 years, reproduce like rabbits, and eat everything they can get their slimy big mouths around....

mais ceux-ci sont extrêmes trop grands. Me donner l'une menue n'importe quel jour.

A vrai dire, j'avais juste quelques la semaine dernière.

CLASSIC ESCARGOTS A LA BOURGUIGNONNE (credit Epicuious)

This appetizer can be made with the leftover snails from Scallops with Snail-Garlic Butter and Leeks

1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 tablespoon minced shallot
1 7-oz can snails, rinsed

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Purée butter, garlic, parsley, and shallot in a food processor. Season with salt and pepper.

Divide half the garlic butter among sterilized snail shells. Stuff with snails (1 per shell) and remaining garlic butter.

Bake 10 minutes.
