What was your college major (and minor, if applicable)?

I majored in Political Science. Because I dropped out of college in 1984 and didn't return until 1994, it was easier credits-wise to just complete a "General Studies" degree, with emphasis on political science, history and administration of justice.

Went on to graduate from law school this year.

15. I was watching the OU/A&M game in a bar several years ago.

It was a close game, and I was seated next to a bunch of OU fans. We all lived in Texas at the time, San Antonio, specifically. Well, OU made a nice play and saved their bacon (I think this was one year they won the championship). The guys at the OU table were celebrating, until I mentioned that regardless of their victory, OU still had to go back to Oklahoma. Even the OU grads thought that sounded like a punishment. :rofl:

I initially though about Political Science, then I found out that that alot of people in that field are petty, self-absorbed douchebags. Also, really corrupt. Of course, I live in Louisiana so it's a given:D .

6. Social and Political Theory

Although I technically majored in "Individualized Study." I got to create my own course of study, write a thesis, and defend it in an Oral Exam for 2 hours in front of three professors using 30 different "great works" just prolific books and things that applied to my created major.

If I were 18 again and making the original choice - I'd have picked pure I.R., but I did enjoy economics too, just would have liked to spend more time on I.R.

I'm very proud of the usage - one thing I keep finding bemusing about D.U. (and Americans in general) is referring to university as 'school' over here that's exclusively under 18 - I'm getting used to it now though. :crazy:

I remember a thread some time ago about universities we'd like to attend if given a chance; I listed that and Trinity College, Dublin.

We also say "math" and you (and the Indian subcontinent) say "maths."

Until I started calling it "uni" instead. The funny thing is, the college where I got my undergrad degree is not, in fact, a university. It only has a liberal arts college, and only issues B.A. degrees, so in effect I was lying. What an evil bastard I am!
