On Saturday, September 17th, I'll play improvised music in a church in Hyde Park. I don't even know who all the other performers are, let alone what we're going to play (improvised music is like that). I was invited by a guy who plays percussion and electronics and also does these elaborate real-time video mandalas, which latter is what I assume he's gonna do, because there's also supposed to be a guy who "plays" a drum machine in a non-mechanical way. There will also be a saxophonist that I've played with for many years, and I'll be playing guitar and/or bass. High weirdness is guaranteed. (The video work should be absorbing even if the music sucks :P )
The time/space co-ordinates are: 8PM on Saturday, September 17th, at the Artists At Large gallery in the First Congregational Church, 6 Webster St, Hyde Park, Massachusetts. (Webster is a one-way street connecting Hyde Park Avenue with River Street, and the church is at the River Street end. Also I believe there are buses that run down Hyde Park Ave from Forest Hills subway station.)
