Both frugal and environmentally friendly. You could also just send the person a card someone else sent and just cross out the names. Hehehe

And God knows I need reminders not to miss anyone. I just thought adding a bit of variety would help, as the people already saw their cards when they bought them. Then again, if they are like me they probably totally forgot. :D
