Anybody Know Of A Place To Stay For (2) In D.C. On The 23rd & 24th???
We have decided to fly into D.C. and don't have a place to stay. We were going to go with the bus leaving from Sarasota but got a cheap flight. They won't get there until early Sat. morning and we will get there Friday around 5:30 PM.

Any suggestions?? Thanks a lot!

6. Contact Twin Oaks and/or Acorn communities....
(google them) They are communes near Charlottesville Va. (close to DC). I think they would be happy to accomodate any with bedrolls. There will be chartered (but cheap) buses leaving from Charlottesville for DC, and many Twin Oaks/Acorn people will be going. And don't be intimidated by the hippy thing. They are a very diverse bunch and you will be completely comfortable. Many town folk will be going as well.

I know there is also a place in the town of Charlottesville. I can't remember the name but it's a house that hosts activists for just such events. I stayed there once for a pre-war protest and was perfectly comfortable (I'm not a hippy). And they refused to take any money, but definitely offer. Inquiring at Twin Oaks will get you the name of the place and contact info. Again, you'll need to bring a bed roll.
