There has been a marked improvement in lounge threads lately

I had a chat with sundog, and both of us agree that since sundog has gone on strike, the denizens of the lounge have gotten their act together to a degree.

You folks still have a way to go, but compared to last week, the change has been striking.

every single day to MRS R. (who is largely responsible for the "damn good stuff in my life").

I still wonder, sometimes, how I managed to deserve to have things this good. There are people, I know, who would give ANYTHING to not have the physical problems I do. But you know what? None of 'em are going to kill me anytime soon, so I'll be perfectly happy to live with the occasional stumble, the heat intolerance, and even the chronic pain (which itself isn't near what some othe people have to live with), and count my blessings ever single damn day and never forget how lucky I am.

Sometimes I wonder what I could have done to end up this fortunate, and can think of a few things that slide you up the Karma scale (I've saved lives), but they still don't seem enough to arrange that an essentially lazy, scatterbrained ding-dong like me would be so successful in life in general (that means the peoplewho count, not the money).
