Does the Vatican update the Latin language to keep it modern?

I was sitting in a Latin lecture the other day and I thought about what possibilities there were to use latin as a conversational language. Even though nobody speaks it natively anymore, it still is the official language of the Roman Catholic Church. This would mean that they have to publish all of their statements in Latin and would probably imply a need for new terms/words to deal with things that have arisen in the last 1200 years. Anyone know about this?

1. I think that they do update it. Not just the vatican, but Latin

teachers have come up with Latin words for e-mail and disco.
