5. My mom fell and broke her shoulder.

She's in the nursing care unit of their apartment complex. Lots of therapy and patience ahead of her - she's had a whole slew of medical problems. And my 86 year old dad is wearing himself out, trying to care for her.

I live 3 hours away, and try to get here when I can (I'm with them now, but going home tomorrow).

6. My daughter (Age 30) had to be rushed to the E.R. this afternoon.

They found a cyst on her ovary. She's been through a lot of stress lately with other issues and has held up very well. She didn't need this. She's a strong person and I admire her for it.

8. That happened to me 10 years ago.

Turns out I have had multiple cysts, and the last one ruptured the ovary. After surgery, I was told I had endometriosis, and several very large fibroids. Two years later, I was back in surgery again.

I hope your daughter is doing better. I also hope she can find the best OB/GYN in her area. Some of them are specialists in this field, and really know the latest on research, treatments, etc.

12. This Happens to Me a Lot

The ruptures, that is - only went to the ER the first time (don't get me started about the sucky ER!) It hurts like hell, but isn't serious. Hope it's the same for your daughter.

14. Echocardiogram Tomorrow

Doctor heard something in my heart that didn't sound right. Again.

I was on the wrong antibiotics for a sinus infection for three days; now I've been on the right one for four days and I'm still running a fever of 103.2F.

No place seems to have any cute fall shoes in stock yet. It's September, people! I need shoes!

15. I had a dream the other morning that

my husband was about to tell me something terribly sad. Then I woke up. I am still waiting for sad news.

It's 7:36 am. I can't sleep because my husband is snoring like a bull horn and the city is starting to wake up right underneath my window.....so here I am.

They found a lump in my mothers breast. She laughed, saying how ironic that in a waitingroom full of big-breasted women it would be her, the little breated one, that has something. She will have a biopsy done in a week. If it is serious, well, I will hop the next flight back to the US.

She told me not to worry though, we have always been a lumpy family.

20. My sister is a nasty bitch

Without going into all the details, she broke a major promise she made to my Dad and my late mother. They sold her land on their property for $1 so she could build a house, the stipulation being that she help them as they get old. She has now broken that promise to my Dad. Bitch. Of course she won't give him a dime for the land from the profits of the house. This should be a fun holiday season coming up.

21. My Wife Is Sick Again

Constant nausea and no appetite. Very similar to what happened in May. We're bummed. We thought this was all figured out.

22. About 6 weeks ago I had a seizure.

I'm now on drugs that make me feel like I'm in a balloon, my driver's licence has been suspended, my work has been dorks about it, I go to the neurologist Monday. If I don't get my licence back I'm fucked and will lose my job.

My girlfriend of 1 year decided she likes the idea of being "friends" and I'm moving out.

Oh, yeah. My favourite aunt died Tuesday and I'm going to the funeral today.

On the plus? side my separation agreement from my wife is now final after 2 years.
