Oh! This is my subject. I've spent my entire life subjected to assholes. Some assholes are even nice.

Here's perfect example-

My neighbor has four dogs that he keeps cramped on his porch. When he's gone, they bark. And bark. So a half a year after I moved here, I finally decided to call animal control. Well, the guy with the dogs comes over all friendly and everything. "I'll do something. I'll do something." Well not only did he do absolutely nothing, but the guy went and called the sheriff, and they both came over the next morning. The asshole would rather call his buddy the sheriff with some bullshit story, than try to be considerate of his neighbors. And I'm not the only neighbor who's bothered, just the only one with vigilance enough to do something about it. A DUer, in other words. So now I have a neighbor who's an asshole, and a sheriff I wouldn't dare call for any reason. Great! What a way to be welcomed into my new neighborhood.

This is not the first time I've encountered this. And in fact, the lesson to be learned is that when people move to the country, they believe they can do whatever they want, even if it bothers someone else, unimpeded.
