Question: Why don't fish sticks and tater tots have the same
cooking temperature when everyone knows you can't have one without the other. I mean seriously, can't Oreida and Gorton's get together on this one?

6. Exactly! When two things go together, they should have the same
cooking temp! I'm not even saying that they have to have the same timing! I'm more than willing to remove the sticks before the tots or vice versa, but c'mon! With one at 400 degrees and one at 425 - WTF am I supposed to do? Divide the difference. This represents EVERYTHING that is wrong with this country today! :silly:

I think you should refuse to be bound by the cooking temps...
...on the package! What's the worst that can happen? Is the Gorton fisherman going to come knocking on your door to kick your ass? :silly:

31. And besides, oven thermostats aren't always accurate
They vary from oven to oven. Some run hotter, some cooler. Your oven may say 375, but it might actually be 350 or 400. And make sure you preheat for at least 15 minutes before you do anything. Sure, the little red light may say it's 375, but that's just the air inside, and air doesn't take as long to heat up as metal. As soon as you open the door to put your food in, POOF, the heat flies away. You have to make sure the walls, floor, and ceiling of your oven are heated up as well, and that takes time.

18. Someone else bitches about this too?
I've gone as far as writing letters to them about it. Really. I asked them why foods that obviously go together have to have completely different temps.
Of course, there has never been a response and my best friend has suggested medication (though she suggested that I write the letters in the first place).

21. Gorton is an asshole

We call him Skelator-my Native American friends call him The Indian Killer. He 'represented' this state (ie Boeing, other corporate war machine interests and fishers against Native Americans) in the US Senate way too long.

He is a member of the Gorton's Family, and I don't trust the fisherman. I think, knowing the work of Slade, Gorton's has engineered the cooking temperature on purpose to sabotage the working mother who strives to put a good healthful meal on the table, one that the kids won't turn their noses up at.

In Slade's world, I am sure everyone has two stoves and a butler's pantry. He's a dick.

I don't even want to think what's in a fish stick now. You can't even find frozen breaded Cod in a supermarket anywhere.

Kids, if you don't like it....don't eat it. And don't ask for desert if you don't clean your plate.

I'm not a good cook.
