Poll question: What country makes the bestest of the best beer?
Only individual nations may apply; apologies to the Commonwealth...I can't list evey nation on earth (nearly each of which produces some beer-related beverage).

...and no, hard cider is not beer.

...oh, and if you vote for the USA, you're a right slapper, you are.

Oh, diversity is included! An oilcan may be yummy, so can a pint of Guiness on tap, but think of ALL the beers of a your choice.

Or not. It's a matter of preference, of course...though some preferences are clearly incorrect.

1. Germany! They actually have LAWS about how their beer is made.
Go and Google "German Purity Law of 1614" if you dont believe me!

Legally, accoding to that law, American "beers" like Budweiser, Michelob, Coors, and Miller cant be sold as beer under this law in Germany.

4. Yes...I'm sipping Warsteiner as we speak...one yummy pils.
It could be simply in my head, but German beers do seem to be a bit more refreshing than most others.

Besides, it's hard to miss, nearly every German beer bottle shouts "BREWED ACCORDING TO GERMANY PURITY LAW!".

3. England.
Bass. Double Diamond. Newcastle. Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout. I much prefer ale to lager, and no one does ale (which includes bitter and stout) better than the English.

5. How about biggest disappointment? (related to price.) I vote Stella...
Artois of Belgium.

8 bucks for a pilner that can't touch a $5.50 St. Paulie Girl...

7. For me that was Warsteiner (which you seem to like).
I thought it was bland and not very good and overall rather Budweiserish.

9. Where is Mexico?
There's some pretty awesome beers made there. Monterrey Mexico has a huge German population.

My favorite beer is Noche Buena:

"From south of the border comes Noche Buena from Cervecería Cahutemoc. The 1997 rendition is a ruby red color with a weak head and "grainy" aroma. Well-carbonated, the dry malty flavors are well-matched to the medium body, with accompanying creamy mouthfeel, and light bittering hops."

http://www.realbeer.com/nmvbp/seasonal.htm#noche

but you can only get it there, and only at Christmas time.
