What's on your favorite mix cd?
Right now, mine goes like this:

Patti Smith--Gloria
The Oblivians--Live the Life
MC5--Borderline
Television--Venus
The Buff Medways-Ivor
The Monks-I hate you
The Beatles-Revolution (pissed off version)
BBQ-Waddlin' Around
Bob Dylan--A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall
David Bowie--Five Years
Billy Bragg & Wilco--All You Fascists
Rolling Stones--Paint It Black
Velvet Underground--Run Run Run
Janis Joplin--Mercedes Benz

I made it when I was (surprise, surprise) really pissed off, therefore the title of the mix is "FUCK!!!"

How about you? What's the soundtrack to your discontent?

2. Nice mix.
Pylon--haven't seen that name in a while. (I haven't heard them but I remember reading about them).

Sometimes anger--dancing around to loud songs--is healthy. But a good chill out is nice too.

Welcome to DU. :hi:

3. The 10 GBs of music on my computer are mostly mixes
I did not make them. The styles are varied and the selection is huge. right now I'm listening to
"The Rites of the Matrix"
The KLF - The Rites Of Mu
Boards Of Canada - Happy Cycling
The KLF - The Rites Of Mu
Dead Can Dance - Sanvean
The KLF - The Rites Of Mu
Pink Floyd - Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
The KLF - The Rites Of Mu
Air - Radian
The KLF - The Rites Of Mu
The KLF - Dream Time In Lake Jackson
The KLF - The Rites Of Mu
Jim Morrison - Bird Of Prey
DJ Shadow - Hindsight
Timo Maas - Hash Driven
The KLF - The Rites Of Mu
Ron Granier - Theme From Dr Who

It's more of a mix and mash. It's very good.

4. So, the KLF song is your favorite, I take it?
Just kiddin' with you. I like it. Lots of things I'd never think to put together.

Mine is an iTunes "mix" too. I love that you can throw a bunch of songs on a playlist and let shuffle do the work.

5. actually, it's running in the background
and pops back up between some of the other stuff. It's mixed so there are no gaps, really. The KLF piece is long, and each time it's listed, a different segment is being played. The mix is 45 minutes long. a DJ put it together and I got it from the internets.
