I guess I would not feel that way, if over the past 5 years, some of the White Sox did not flap their jaws incessantly about how they are a better team, even though the Twins' record gave them evidence to the contrary.

not really, but i would like to mention that if you're going to point to whining in the media, you're looking at the wrong side of town. We can't whine in the media cause we get no media. Tribune Co. is the media, and they own the Cubs. Every day is some Trib columnist pining over the cubs.

Chicago rocks...although I am partial to that other Chicago baseball team...The one that plays in the park with the mechanical scoreboard.

Wrigley Field to me is akin to a pilgrimmage to Mecca...I am an old time baseball purist.

but i would revise that statement. I think you feel more like the yankees do about the red sox (i.e. years of domination and then 1 year of the other teams success).

14. meh, you get used to it

even though the media would have you believe that there is only one team in chicago (I'll give you a hint, the one that thinks losing is adorable), the attendance at sox games has risen steadily, especially since they remodeled the place. It's nice now, they even have a mini-baseball field on the second level where kids can play while their parents watch the game...This year, until this catastrophic meltdown, we were on pace to break all-time attendance records.
