We live on five acres so I spend a great amount of my time outside maintaining the yard. It's been so dry that nothing is growing, so that makes my life easier. 42??? That is a baby in this day and age. I am 33 and feel as though I am the young age of 32 and one-half.

I had a very nice day with a friend from Colorado today. We went to an art museum and a park that had a museum in it that housed the first airplane ever built and flown. You wouldn't happen to have any art work in the Dayton Art Institute would you?

I've been having fun just goofing off in the lounge and a few groups. I think what is getting me is just laziness. I don't type very fast and I put a lot of thought into the stories trying to remember everything and getting everything in the right order. It takes a lot of energy and I guess I just haven't been up to it lately. And to think that I wanted to be a writer at one point :crazy:

I bet you are going to be a famous artist. From what I've seen here that you've posted I know you have better stuff than some of those artists in the museum.

As an aside, you know what interests me lately? Trompe l'oeil painting, like the late 18th century work of Harnett and Peto.

He's very, very talented. I found his work about two years ago, when I first became interested on trompe l'oeil. I've always been a fan of M.C. Escher, but I prefer to realism in Hillsberry's work. :thumbsup: (Also, I think it's rare these days to find artists who've mastered drawing.)

Yes I am a graphic artist and I cut printing plates by hand, too!
And those are not posters, they are original artworks (ie paintings) of bag designs from the 1950s...

I rescued them when the last company I worked for went under and closed, and my boss said, "take all you want, whatevers left goes in the dumpster!"

I read a few minutes again that the election is so close that Shroeder refuses to concede. Actually, I was sort of pulling for Schroeder. He's the only European leader who's had the guts to stand up to the US president, and I consider Merkel a puppet.

The best that could come out of this is a strong coalition. That's what I'm hoping for.
