4. This weekend..
Megan Slankard - Freaky Little Story
a Simon And Garfunkel compilation
Coldplay - X & Y
Michelle Branch - The Spirit Room
Trisha Yearwood - Jasper County

all highly recommended except for the Coldplay, which is just recommended. Previous Coldplay album WAS great.

Full album listening party:

Paul McCartney - Chaos And Creation In The Backyard: I listened again, and sorry, I just don't like it. I really wanted to. Only "How Kind Of You" really creates any chaos.

Heard a few more samples from the upcoming Liz Phair, and it sounds right up my alley! Kind of Michelle Branch-ish on "Somebody's Miracle" and "Everything To Me," but that's fine with me.

Some David Gray samples from Life In Slow Motion. Some reviewers can't get it, but I can. I like pop/rock, but don't even need to delve deep to find out how good it is.

6. Missa in Angustiis
alias the Nelson Mass - F.J. Haydn.

The ascription being in honour of Admiral the Lord Nelson, the Latin title means Mass in Times of Trouble - though frequently taken to refer to the Napoleonic wars then raging across Europe, it is quite possibly more a grumble from the composer about depleted forces in the orchestra where he is forced to employ in the organ in place of the wind section.
