I was searching the web tonight,

and I found a rather bizarre site. I was looking for an online edition of Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, and I did find it. The thing is, the site that sponsors it is run by a real live Fascist. I don't use those terms lightly, but this guy has got to be a Fascist. He has written an online book analyzing the decline of civilization. He's an Australian, and believes that the West is in irreversible decline. The cause? Political correctness, democracy, women's liberation, equality, and the general lack of manners. He lays out the predictable lines: Activist judges make laws from the bench, PC liberals stifle free expression, traditional morality is undermined, etc.

He uses half-truths like a true propagandist. He's right about the general decline of language and the plain meaning of words. He believes people are either matristic (hedonistic, selfish, false), or patristic (true, communal, etc). There is no middle ground. He also believes that global warming is a myth (not new), and that HIV doesn't really cause AIDS.

Oh, and he also seems to be a fan of apartheid.


I put this in the Lounge, because its not really relevant to the current issues in GD (or is it?), and its too laughable for the serious threads.

I'm convinced he's a Fascist. Check out his site if you dare.
