It's true we are major polluters, but I think few now deny that it has an effect on the environment. Not anymore.

When it comes to our survival, I believe that the intelligent, far-sighted, and resourceful among us will rise to the occasion.

It will be painful, for several years, because we did not have the leadership when we needed it. But we'll get through it. To believe otherwise is to believe the planet, and all life on it, is doomed.
I can't do that.

I certainly respect your decision to foster no offspring.
Sometimes I even wonder why we do it. What's the motivation?
I don't have a ready answer for that.

But I know that, quite selfishly, my life is richer and more worth living, for the daughter we had. And for the man she married, and for the son that they had.
