Food poisoning: not as fun as it sounds |
|
really. I've been up all night with stomach cramps, again. It must have been something I ate Saturday night, as somebody else I was with also got sick.
Bleeaaarrrrggghhhh. This sucks.

1. care to mention where you ate? |
|
so I won't go there... Food poisoning is not a picnic.
Best of luck to you and make sure you have enough toilet paper! :)

2. Sure-- believe it or not, I think it was the salad |
|
We had fresh fish (cooked thoroughly well and caught by my uncle) coconut rice, and salad. I think the salad didn't get washed well enough is my guess. Everything else was pretty good. But these days you never know...

|

6. Unfortunately, this was at my mom's |
|
in Rochester. Home cooked meal even.
BTW what was the name of the place in Mpls? I've probably been there and had the same experience :P

I have had food poisioning 2 times. Both times were home cooked meals. It is the hepatitis that you have to worry about getting from a restaurant.

12. Can't recall the name-- I was about 15 and |
|
on a hellacious family trip. I just remember it was a hole-in-the-wall kind of place and was rather dirty. We were fighting so much about where to eat that my parents just said "screw it!" and walked into the first restaurant they saw-- not a good system.

19. I think I know that place |
|
Was it on Hennepin? They used to serve these really wicked punch-like drinks, but they closed a few years ago when they tarted up the street. I think I know the place. The bar was cool (see above mentioned drinks) but the food was notoriously bad. :puke:

20. It might have been-- it was about 12 years ago. |
|
It would be like my parents to drag a 15 year old and a 6 year old up and down Hennepin. I just remember they had a very small buffet and it wasn't very tasty.

I couldn't remember the name for the life of me. Probably because every time I'd been there I left completely legless. :silly:

25. Heh. Their Wondrous punch could really clean your clock. |
|
:hi: Well, the Red Dragon (Lyndale and 22nd) has similar cocktails...one appropriately named the *zombie* that will produce similar effects as Nankin's K/O cocktails. Their food is ahem, similar too. :puke:

I'm feeling better. At least I was before I saw my lawyer at noon. Ah well,...
I do remember Two Pesos though. That was always a culinary adventure going there. You never knew what you were going to walk away with.

Green jello, Gatorade, Mountain Dew. You'll feel better in no time.
Oh, and a liter of vodka won't hurt, either.
