4. Well, first off, your body goes to the funeral home

where it is stripped of valuables that your family will never get back, like the wallet and watch and gold fillings, etc. you are processed.

Your soul goes to Heaven, or whatever reality it actually is in whatever form, no one really knows, but I believe it lives on as part of the universal consciousness or Nirvana or Heaven or Shaka-Ri or whatever.

gases are released. You begin bloating from the gases inside. Rigor mortis sets in and then goes away. Your internal bacteria begins 'eating' you from the inside out. Insects begin appearing, first as larvae and then as mature bugs (the timeline of these insects, as well as the insect type, can be used to determine the time of death). After some time, you may get graven wax, where only the fatty tissues remain and become waxy and soap-like. Sometimes, the built up gases can cause the viscera to explode.

Of course, if you get embalmed, most of the above processes will be heavily delayed.

The description above is not 100% correct (just what I remember from a forensics class a long time ago). I apologize in advance to any forensic pathologists out there.

I guess it would depend on the circumstances. I'm sure lots of things are happening right now, and I'm sure many people are dying at this very moment.

And when I say "right now", we can of course only take that to mean the experience available to a conscious entity within a particular frame of reference...for instance, a star may be exploding somewhere in the galaxy "right now", but nobody on this planet will see it until the light from said event reaches their eyes, perhaps thousands of years from now. And when you say "happens", do you mean...oh fuck it, this isn't funny at all.
