Poll question: your favorite bread for sandwiches
I know, it probably depends upon what kind of sandwich you're having. But answer for your favorite sandwich (if you can pick just one).

1. Medium rye, not pumpernickel
for some reason the grocery stores here call it "Jewish style rye" - add meat, cheese, fresh sliced onions and some good whole grain Dijon mustard and ya gotcherself a real sammich.

I haven't been around much, veru busy with work.

I saw Cindy Sheehan yesterday. She was in New Haven, CT. It was such a great rally. So many good speakers.

How's life going for you?:hi:

7. That's awesome.
Life's okay, thanks for asking. To quote a favorite movie: "I feel a little pain in the back. But, at least it means I'm not dead." :)

House painters (interior) began today. Mrs. V. is beside herself. We bought the house new 4 years ago and never could afford to upgrade from builder white/contractor carpet. :bounce:

 Take a break from work, man.

4. Portugese. Not the sweet stuff, the kind that's
sorta like Italian, but not quite. Or potato bread, either of the two if the filling (such as egg salad or nothin-but-tomato-and-mayo) call for white bread.

Otherwise, I'll always go for the seven- or nine- or however-many-diferent-grains-and-oats-and-nuts-and-stuff-they-cah-apck-in-there type.

So I couldn't pick just one. This is FAR too important a question to be tied to such narrow limitations. I take my sandwiches very seriously.

10. uhum, yes, well, BK, that's mighty flattering about your sister and all,
don't get me wrong, I sure can use an ego boost as much as the next guy, but there's Mrs R. to consider...

Not that I'd mind meeting your sister (and your ownself, at that) for 'mater sandwiches, beer, and such forth...

18. Apologies? To me? Nah. Nobody ever needs to apologize to me.
Edited on Mon Sep-19-05 11:03 PM by Redstone
Because I pretty much never get offended or insulted, particularly when people do things with the best of intentions and no malice, such as yourself.

Especially when someone is paying me a compliment, as you were.

We'll share that beer some day, and I'll buy. One for your sister, too.

We have a family owned bakery in my town that still bakes it everyday in a coal fired oven. They make good Rye and Salt-rising bread also.
