Mine is. "Hollywooooooooooood... Hollywood Swingin'!" by Kool & the Gang. Nice little bass and guitar riff.

It came up a lot in the game soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas which I am currently playing (spare the tiresome moralization please), and I like this song so much I bought it off of iTunes.

HEY HEY HEY
WHAT YA GOT TO SAY
HEY HEY HEY
WHAT YA GOT TO SAY

HOLLY WOOOOOOOOOD
HOLLY WOOD SWINGING

HOLLYWOOOOOOOOOD
HOLLYWOOD SWINGING

I REMEMBER
NOT TOO LONG AGO
I WENT TO A THEATER
AND I SAW THE KOOL & THE GANG SHOW
I ALWAYS WANTED
TO FIT INTO A BAND
TO SING MY SONGS
AND BECOME A BAD PIANO PLAYING MAN---------
SO HEAR I AM
IN THIS HOLLYWOOD CITY
THE CITY OF THE STARS, MOVIES, WOMEN AND CARS
WELL I GUESS I
I GUESS I
STAR

CHROUS

HOLLYWOOD SWINGING
HOLLYWOOD SWINGING
HOLLYWOOD SWINGING
HOLLYWOOD SWINGING

2. Two from fuckin' Iced Earth
You abuse and you victimize
But you're dignified, so you justify
It's in your eyes where deception lies
So you criticize with cruel eyes
Father in black, black as sin
Pure hypocrisy to no end
Condemnning me and my fellow man
I live my life among the damned

I've gotta do as you say, not as you do
You're a man of the cloth, I'm comin' for you
You say you can save me, cleanse me of my sin
A holy predator, the wolf in sheepskin
Disciples of the lie

Breeding fear in your twisted smile
Pedophile, in denial
I taste revenge when I think of you
Disciples of the Lie

A life of hell you put me through
When I find you I'll take youout
No remorse, you're going down
You see satisfaction in my eyes
I vindicate, now you die

I've gotta do as you say, not as you do
You're a man of the cloth, I'm comin' for you
You say you can save me, cleanse me of my sin
A holy predator, the wolf in sheepskin
Disciples of the lie

The blackness inside overwhelms me
The pain engulfs and turns to rage in me
Trapped so deep in my mental hell
Release the demons, set me free

The Phantom Opera Ghost

I've gotta do as you say, not as you do
You're a man of the cloth, I'm comin' for you
You say you can save me, cleanse me of my sin
A holy predator, the wolf in sheepskin

I feel you, from beyond the walls you speak to me
Christine my love Paris now will worship you
You will star soon I'll kill to make it sure for you
Oh my love, won't you please show yourself to me
Soon I'll take you in my kingdom you're the queen.
It's dark and peaceful but my face you'll never see, no

Oh Christine on this eve I will come for you
Erik my love, I've waited all my life for you
Please just take me I need to be with you
Take my hand, through the catacombs my lair awaits
Caverns, mazes, the underworld and the blackest lake.
Enticing danger, your passion feeds me I'm your slave

Now I've bathed in fear. I will not leave here
Breathe deep the darkness. Breathe deep the madness
I'm so cold inside. Mental suicide
Breathe deep the darkness. Breathe deep the sadness

Oh Christine don't you know it's all for you
Carlotta's head and the other death's I planned.
All for you, to have your night in the spotlight.
From now on forevermore you will only sing for me

So you are, you are the legend. The Phantom Opera Ghost
I am what man has made me. With his hate and cruel ways
Why are you?
Why am I?
The Phantom Opera Ghost
I have to see
You'll never see
What's behind the mask

I'm so torn between love, death, life, and hate
Don't you doubt me, what we have is just our fate.
I now own you from this day forth; you'll be my slave
Oh Dear God for this life I've lost the will
No this can't be I'd rather you die than spoil my dream.
Myself I'll kill if I can't have you no one will

8. "Between the Wars" by Billy Bragg
Between the Wars
Billy Bragg

I was a miner, I was a docker,
I was a train driver between the wars.
I raised a family in time of austerity.
We swept at the foundry between the wars.

I paid the union, and as times got older
I looked to the government to help the working man.
And they brought prosperity -- down at the armory.
We're arming for peace, my boys, between the wars.

I kept the faith, and I kept voting,
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand --
For theirs is a land with a wall around it,
And mine is a faith in my fellow man.

Theirs is a land of hope and glory;
Mine is the green field and the factory floor.
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers;
And mine is the peace we knew between the wars.

Call up the craftsmen, bring me the draftsmen,
Build me a path from cradle to grave,
And I'll give my consent to any government
That does not deny a man a living wage.

Go find the young men, never to fight again,
Call up the banners from the days gone by.
Sweet moderation, heart of this nation,
Desert us not, we are between the wars.

10. I was just thinking of the worst ear worm of all time
Not because the song was bad, but because it almost drove me crazy:

I camped out under a huge waterfall for three days in an enormous rock shelter. The waterfall was so loud you couldn't hear anyone more than six feet away, even if they were yelling. The waterfall evolved over time until you heard a magnificent thundering chord that just went on and on forever. Once it got in your head, you couldn't shake it for anything.

Alas, it sounded very much like the opening chord to King Crimson's Epitaph, and even before the first night was over, that song had begun to play over and over in my head. I loved it at first. But by the end of the second day, after much hiking and a little caving, I was begging the gods above to get the fucking song out of my head. But it went on all that night and all the next day and night, even after we'd packed out and returned home. It drove me half nuts, which admittedly is not a long trip. I mean, that song must have played in its entirety in my head at least 400 times that weekend. It was just sheer misery eventually. It would not stop.

Confusion will be my epitaph
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all
Sit back and laugh
But I fear tomorrow, I'll be crying
Yes, I fear tomorrow, I'll be crying
Crying...crying...

Even today, I can look at the pictures I took that weekend and play that song and be transported back there instantly. It was the Epitaph Weekend.

I love Hollywood Swingin, btw.

14. World Turned Upside-Down by Billy Bragg
WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN

In 1649
To St George's Hill
A ragged band they called the Diggers
Came to show the people's will
They defied the landlords
They defied the laws
They were the dispossessed
Reclaiming what was theirs

'We come in peace' they said
To dig and sow
We come to work the lands in common
And to make the waste grounds grow
This earth divided
We will make whole
So it will be
A common treasury for all

The sin of property
We do disdain
No man has any right to buy and sell
The earth for private gain
By theft and murder
They took the land
Now everywhere the walls
Spring up at their command

They make the laws
To chain us well
The clergy dazzle us with heaven
Or they damn us into hell
We will not worship
The God they serve
The God of greed who feeds the rich
While poor men starve

We work, we eat together
We need no swords
We will not bow to the masters
Or pay rent to the lords
We are free men
Though we are poor
You Diggers all stand up for glory
Stand up now

From the men of property
The orders came
They sent the hired men and troopers
To wipe out the Diggers' claim
Tear down their cottages
Destroy their corn
They were dispersed
But still the vision lingers on

You poor take courage
You rich take care
This earth was made a common treasury
For everyone to share
All things in common
All people one
We come in peace
The orders came to cut them down

15. I Owe You One ... yes, it is good!
Aaron Neville

There’s a chill in the evening air
Carries me back to some place where
I thought I’d lost my way forever
Every dream and every plan
Every last chance slipped through my hand
And you smiled at me and it was over
Holding you tonight
Hold on tight
I try to say it right
And I guess sometimes the words don’t come
And I wish I told you how you changed my life
And saved me with your love
I hope when all is said and done
You know I owe you one
Walk me down those streets again
Stop me right at the moment when
You stood there talking to a stranger
Tell me how you looked at me
And knew the very best that I could be
How did you see this happy ending
Standing by your side
I’m still surprised
I try to say it right
But I guess sometimes the words don’t come
And I wish I’d told you how you changed my life
And saved me with your love
I hope when all is said and done
You know I owe you one
One for life and one for love
And all you’ve given me
For the dreams you made me dream again
And all that we can be
Holding you tonight, holding you tonight
Hold on tight
I try to say it right
I guess sometimes the words don’t come
And I wish I’d told you how you changed my life
And saved me with your love
I hope when all is said and done
You know I owe you one
