So what do you call sex when it's post-marital?

In high-school sex ed, we were all warned of the perils of "pre-marital" sex. At that time, the terminology made sense -- none of us had been married. All sex we'd be having unless and until we got married would be pre-marital.

Well, for those of us who have been married before, and are no longer married, what do you call it?

"Pre-marital" implies that there will eventually be a marriage. I suppose it could be considered pre-marital if you're planning on marrying that person, but what about if you're not? Is there a better term?

through the lens of marriage at all. Pre-marital, extra-marital, post-marital... take marital out of the definition entirely.

It adds so much baggage. Sex is sex. Who cares about the marital status of the people doing it?

Sex isn't just for married people. Never has been, never will be. Even though a lot of people believe that one must be married to have sex in any kind of moral or ethical way, those people are fucked.

Might as well define it on the education level of the participants - pre-graduate sex, post-graduate sex... or on whether you own a house, pre-house sex, post-house sex, etc.
