Most persistent earworm you ever had?
Mine is a tie between Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind, Love" and, of all things, Glen Campbell's (I think it was Glen) "Wichita Lineman."

Both of those stuck around in my head all day long for about a week each.

8. Aaaargh! What have you done?!
After reading this subject line, I promptly vowed not to try and remember it for fear it would come back. So, of course, I immediately start thinking about what it was. I can't remember, so now it's bothering me. It's on the tip of my ear, but I can't place it. NOOOOOOOOO!

9. Lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, love--lee day...
Love the Bill Withers song, it gets stuck on replay really bad and annoys the hell out of others because it makes me dance around the grocery and liquor stores singing it.

"Then I look at you
And the world's alright with me
Just one look at you
And I know its gonna be...a lovely day......"

My SO keeps saying they are going to refuse to serve me in the State Liquor Store if I approach the counter singing, even if I can prove a 0.0 blood alcohol level.

I have a feeling he's right.

There will come a day
youth will pass away
then what will they say

When the end comes I know
they'll say just a gigolo
as life goes on
without me

CUZ...
I ain't got nobody, nobody,
nobody cares for me
Nobody , nobody
I'm so sad and lonely,

sad and lonely,
Won't some sweet mama come
and take a chance with me

20. Rockin' In The Free World, by Neil Young.
I love the song but boy does that song just loop and loop and loop.

Rockin' In The Free World"

There's colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin' their feet
People sleepin' in their shoes
But there's a warnin' sign
on the road ahead
There's a lot of people sayin'
we'd be better off dead
Don't feel like Satan,
but I am to them
So I try to forget it,
any way I can.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.

I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away,
and she's gone to get a hit
She hates her life,
and what she's done to it
There's one more kid
that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love,
never get to be cool.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.

We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores
and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes
for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people,
says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn,
got roads to drive.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.
