the "new car" I was going to buy ends up in the garage with a badly misfiring engine and the !@#$%^^$@# mechanics can't figure out what's wrong....I really wanted that car (a '99 Saab 9-5) but the Food Nazi has now turned into a Car Nazi and worse yet, she's right....if the local mechanics can't fix it and we have to take it into Wausau everytime something goes wrong...well...you get the picture....:grr: :banghead: :grr:

What cable system do you have? I'm on Charter, and love it - except, perhaps for the price - but it's good service - and high-speed internet access.

The issue with the local cable isn't with Charter, it's with the local public access cable channel. We're trying to get them to accept a FREE sat dish to pick up Democracy Now! and broadcast it locally...we're meeting some resistance and I can't determine if it's just incompetence or obstruction. The committee is chaired by a former Repub candidate for state assembly and the "manager" of the local public access channel is "formerly" the media director for World Outreach Center (yes...that's the Nightmare! group)

I was told the meeting of the committee to make the final decision (thay tabled it once already) was to be 5PM yesterday, so I rallied the troops...but when I couldn't get ahold of the manager to get information about where we were on the agenda, I went to the City Clerk's office to get a copy and found out that the meeting is NEXT WEEK....b.s. m.s. and Phd.. (bullshit, more shit and piled high and deep!)

on edit: the reason I referred to the manager as being the former (in quotes) media director is because he still works as a "volunteer" at the church media center...

I'll start seeing the Nightmare hearse parked in the McDonalds parking lot (busiest intersection in town) in a few more days....they don't miss a trick.....
