I just saw it in this weeks "New York" magazine (good article about Cooper). I just thought it was an interesting tidbit.

I saw an interview w/ Gloria Vanderbilt and she says that he was medicated for something at the time and he leaned over too far(was sitting on the ledge) and fell.
Who really knows?
