1. Many times in my life
but it's usually as something is happening, but not before.

I thought deja vu was a feeling that something had happened in the past.

10. Definition of deja vu according to Wikipedia
The term déjà vu (French: "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was created by a French psychic researcher, Emile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des Sciences Psychiques, which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate French concentrator at the University of Chicago. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eerieness" or "strangeness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past.

3. Actually,
I had this black cat cross my path once, and then a few seconds later the EXACT SAME CAT crossed in front of me again! Well, after that I seem to recall this weird kung-fu adventure suddenly happening around me, but now I can't quite place the memory...

4. Occasionally
But more frequently I have Vuja-de: the feeling that none of this has ever happened before. ;-)
