Since we're not interested in flooding either of our cars, they both have to go. One kid, and one type of animal in each car. The three cats will all be in one big kennel...they like each other, but I don't if I'll be able to say that after this trip.

It doesn't look like it will though...So we're getting out. I've been taking stuff to the in-laws today...things we don't want blown away. At least they have a house. They're planning to go to Austin.

However, with the talk of Category 4, they're planning to boogie too. Turns out my other half didn't want to spend this lovely time with his mother. I was impressed...he usually does what she tells him to. Of course, there is the factor that you can't go outside to smoke in winds over 100 mph, and she would NOT let us smoke inside.

No dogs, but kids..no aardvark either, but we do have the cockatiel. At least we've got reservations, and backroads will be mapped so we don't get stuck on 45 or 59 or any other major highway.
