4. I'll be in DC, you can have a real hug there!
You had good times.

You will again! I'm so sorry.

Someone once told me that 'the deeper the love, the longer it takes to stop crying'. Get_out_and_meet_new_friends. It'll help to ease the hurt as the time passes to heal your broken heart.

5. Aww...
I'm sorry to hear about this. How are your kitties doing? I know I'd miss my furbabies like mad if I didn't see them everyday.

Hang in there sweetie - come talk whenever you need to, ok?

9. Oh, dear.
Crispini's prescriptions for sadness, take one as required:

- Ingest large amounts of dark chocolate.
- Watch a favorite, absorbing, interesting movie or DVD. Or read a good book.
- Call a dear friend. Don't vent, but ask them to tell you about their lives.
- Work, if you have some interesting work to do. Work can be very distracting.
- Exercise, get out and take a walk or something.
- Blast some loud music and clean the house.

Mostly, find some way to distract yourself and give it a chance to wear down a bit. It'll come back, but when it does, hopefully, it'll be less sad.

10. Oh, I can so relate to this
I'm in the final stages of my divorce, and I'm still cleaning out my old house that my ex- and I own(ed). It's very strange going back to that place that I called home for eight years, and seeing things not in their "proper" place.

Thankfully I got custody of our cats. The split has been rough on them, too. My ex- had custody of them for a couple of months before I could get back on my feet, and they're making the adjustment, too. They're much better now, but it was a strange couple of weeks for them, going to a new place and leaving the only home they've ever known.

Hang in there. It's tough at first, but it does get better with time. And don't forget that things always seem to happen for a reason. You've got a whole new beginnnig ahead of you, and a whole new adventure awaits. You never know who'll you'll meet and what you'll do-- and you may just be pleasantly suprised after all.

take care sweetie
