Jeb Bush not consider himself Christian? How will the fundies like that?

Normally, I don't play the game of "who is/is not a Christian". But this is a case a where a public person is making a statement that could be construed to mean that he doesn't consider himself a Christian.
I mean, take a look at this quote about Bush's imaginary friend:

‘’I rely on Chang with great regularity in my public life. He has been by my side and sometimes I let him down. But Chang, this mystical warrior, has never let me down.'’

Sounds weird, right? Now replace "Chang" with "Jesus", and a great many Americans wouldn't think anything of that statement. If Jeb is choosing Chang over Jesus, then he really can't be called a Christian, can he? In fundy-speak, he'd be a "pagan".

Looks like Jeb has shot himself in the foot again, this time with the base. He just can't keep himself from outraging someone. Everyone will hate him before he is done.
