A little while ago I was walking to the video store when some asshole talking on his cell phone while riding his bike on the sidewalk nearly ran me over. Truly appalling behaviour.

If you can't control your adults, don't let them out in public!

3. Perhaps the spin I put on it wasn't quite proper...

but it's annoying enough when some jackass is riding their bike on the sidewalk, but to do that "I'm on my cell phone so I can't be bothered to pay attention to what the fuck I'm doing" schtick at the same time is inexcusable.

That shit pisses me off, and it's not like I'm a pioneer in the art of venting frustration in the Lounge.

5. I don't begrudge your venting

Venting about idiotic people is a Lounge tradition, but my point is you revive the flamewars from earlier this week about children acting up in public with your choice of words.

It's a not-so-clever way of opening up fresh wounds.

Otherwise, I myself enjoy a good rant.

6. Maybe I'm riffing on some of the irrational rhetoric

that gets used in such flamewars, but the position behind such rhetoric is so untenable that one couldn't launch any sort of an attack on this thread from it. So as you can see, there's no flamewar here.
