Strange Question...
Have you ever known a person, whose only source of happiness, was the praise of others? And it doesn't matter what the praise is about...any kind of praise is the only source of happiness this person gets. Maybe I didn't word this very well, though...

And the person will go to extreme lengths as well - for example, put on a mask - not act like their true selves, all in the pursuit for praise.

I doubt anyone has known a person like this, I was just wondering if there is...
