I installed Limewire last night.
And it was uninstalled within 10 minutes.

It proudly states that no 3rd party will be installed with it,

EXCEPT FUCKING JAVA!!!!!!!!!!!!! :argh: :argh:

Java sucks and blows at the same time. And it made my fonts all blurry. It was gone before Limewire. JAVA will NEVER be on my computer. It's a resource pig, gets its shitty little hooks all over your pc, is slow, crashes a lot, brings web pages to their knees, and so on and so forth.

" Guaranteed clean install with no bundled software" BULL FUCKING SHIT!

4. Java is also part of MS Windows
at least the Runtime Environment, so you can view web pages that have java content... It's also part of every major web browser. So to say it's not on your computer is incorrect. It's there as part of your operating system and browser.

14. Actually, with XP, it is possible that no JVM is installed
http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/java.php

Depends upon when you got your machine and when you patched.

I had to install the JVM on my own computer to do a few things. Don't know if I had the old MS JVM or not but I don't think I did as it was a recent SP2 included install.

7. There isn't any music worth having my fonts all blurry
system wide. Besides, I've become so used to internet radio, I'll probably only buy about one new CD a year these days.

11. it's great for server-side programming
but should never, ever be used for front end apps/gui use.

12. But, I WANT my GUIs slow, ugly and crash-prone
It's much easier to do them that way in Java than it is in, say, C++.

18. It is great for programming - period.
It simply is the best system do develop and distribute portable code without need for expensive tools.

And it works great for frond-end/client use.

21. I'm not a big fan of Shareaza either
but I hate kazaalite, and I can find a few things on Shareaza that I can't find other places.
BT is the best, and for single files Slsk rules
