my fovorite traffic jam

The Minnesota marching band was going to Winnipeg in the fall of 1980. On our way out of Twintown, we got caught in a traffic jam, and I loved how the bus drivers dealt with it. We had three buses and it was a three lane highway, so they put a bus in each lane. Then they parked for about five minutes, maybe ten. Once the clump of traffic got about 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile ahead of us, they started going forward at a steady thirty miles an hour. I thought it was an awesome display of co-operation that avoided all of that stop and start and lane changing BS usually involved in a traffic jam.
