I was flipping through the channels just now...
Found a rerun of an ep of Card Sharks from the 80s on GSN. The host said that the contestant had the chance to win a Renault Convertable.

Isn't winning a Renault sort of like winning fifteen cents in the lottery?

1. My Mom used to have a Renault Dauphene (sp?) in the late '50's.
It had a sun-roof and was about the size of a VW Bug. It was fun zipping around in it...everyone else was driving big Chevies, Buicks, Fords, etc.

2. This was a 1980s AMC era Renault.
They were infamous for being poorly built.

3. The Renault Alliance
"1984 car of the year"

I grew up in Kenosha - where they were built. Lots of jokes about these cars.
