5. Is it going to be as gross as the usual Cronenberg work?

The man is unarguably brilliant, but I can't stomach most of his work. Way too gross and disturbing for me. The Fly stayed with me for months.

But again, hands down brilliant guy. Just wish I had it to handle more of his work--feel like I miss out. :(

9. I hear you...

...I did extensive reading about this film to see if I wanted to try it. After everything I've read--no way.

I accidentally encountered a brief scene late one night channel surfing. It was tame in comparison to all I've read about this film, yet still gross.

8. I haven't seen this film yet

but share your opinion of Cronenberg's previous work. From what I have read about this film, heard from people who have seen it and from people who have read the graphic novel this film is based on this is not going to be the typical Cronenberg film, in terms of gore.

The impression I got from the trailer is that this is a story about a mysterious man with a checkered history. I expect some violence but nowhere near previous levels.

Though I have to admit, I saw a commercial for it, and I was intrigued--it looked like something I would want to see. I had no idea Cronenberg was attached.

Then again, ads for the Fly made me want to see that too... :eyes:

13. The trailer I saw

made me interested in the characters besides Viggo Mortensen. I'm looking forward to this after a terrible year of movies so far.
