Anyone ever have a lump on their head from smacking
it in a fall? How long is this damned thing going to hurt? It's very tender, and swollen, and I've been getting some headaches and a very mild blurring. Should I have been smart and gone to a doctor, or is this normal?

1. I would strongly suggest that you turn off your computer, and have
someone drive you to the nearest ER.....now!

Or if you are alone, call the paramedics....you might have a subdural hematoma, and you do NOT want to fool around with those....

6. But I did it two days ago!
I didn't get sick or anything, just a very, very sore lump, some headaches over the past few days and the blurring only a little while ago. Perhaps I should have done something about it when I did it, but I seemed fine afterward!

I didn't even notice the lump until yesterday, either.

2. I slammed my head in a car door (don't ask...)
and I had bruising and swelling on either side of head for the better part of a week. And it hurt to squint. If you start throwing up, you might want to go in-- could be a concussion. I've had two of those and they hurt.

4. At the least call the hospital and ask a nurse about it.

7. Please don't mess around with this.....GO...
And do NOT drive yourself...call a friend or the paramedics.....

Subdural hematomas can take a while to develop....Please see to it now..

I know it's the middle of the night for you....

8. Locking
Seeking advice of this nature from an internet message board is not wise. See your medical professional immediately
