4. It was a good spoof and showed alot of love for the
"typical" fans. One of the few films I've watched over and over and over.

Red laser, fire. Blue laser, fire. Okay, that's it, where's my check.

5. It's great, isn't it?
As an ST fan most of my life, and having been to many of those same kinds of conventions, I can totally relate. A friend and I laughed so much we almost blew a gasket the night Shatner told fans to "get a life" on SNL. We KNOW those kinds of fans.

However, I must say that Creation has ruined convention going for me. They've changed the rules--and not for the better--for convention going, and it's not fun anymore.

12. First contact made me angry
the whole overdone time travel storyline, the Borg queen who is anything but a damn Borg... I didn't like it.

19. I found this magazine called Sci Fi Universe....
Where one issue they had a long list of what was simply Wrong with First Contact. I need to find that issue and post some of the items. It was very, very funny.
(It's been out of print for nearly 8 years now)

I bought it every month until it was bought by Science Fiction Age then The Sci Fi Channel.

I LOVED it when it was a product of the guys from Film Threat!

23. Found it!
I lost the cover of the issue, but the article is titled "Worst Contact: How continuity hurt Star Trek VIII" by Robert Meyer Burnett and David J. Hargrove.

for example: "Put one foot in front of the other and soon you'll be walkin' on the hull.." So the Borg are building an "interplexing beacon" on the deflector dish of the Enterprise-E. Time is of the essence. Let's just WALK in zero gravity with magnetic boots hundreds of yards across the hull of the ship instead of using an unassimilated transporter room or one of those nifty rocket packs from The Motion Picture

Funny stuff.

25. My favorite (I promise I'll stop hijacking this thread after this)
"If at first you don't succeed, keep doing the same thing that caused you to fail in the first place." The Borg got their asses kicked the last time they sent a single cube to attack the Federation...so they send another one. By itself. With their Queen in the same vulnerable position. Again.

I enjoyed that magazine. It wasn't afraid to say when something popular didn't make sense or just simply was bad science-fiction. No budget, but it was fun to read.

15. The film that made me appreciate the comic stylings of Tony Shaloub.
He's hilarious in that flick. And Tim Allen's over the top Shatner impression was uncanny.

Every time it's on I watch it. Even if it's on three days in a row. LOL.

Whenever I see Tim Allen rolling around in the dirt, doing 'Shatner,' I just about fall off the couch laughing.
