A Tale of Two Sisters
Would someone please explain this movie to me. I thought I had a grip on it, but I lost it somewhere along the way. Pretty spooky, but I'd still like to know what it was all about!

1. Sorry, never heard of it.
Who's in it? Did it just come out?

Oh...wait..are you talking about the made-for-TV movie with Kathy Bates playing the schizophrenic sister to Emily Perkins? I think I remember seeing a brief preview of that on TV recently...

Was it on tonite or something?

I am completely off base and you don't know what the hell I'm talking about? :D

2. Spacemom!
I am in love with the hands in your sigline! Are those the hands of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet? Just beautiful . . .

6. Yes
It's a picture taken during his recent speech here in Austin. It was a record turnout, with tickets going faster than for any other event.

9. Did you take that photo, Spacemom?
I've never seen a closeup of the Dali Lama's hands before, and if you have a closeup, I'd love to receive a high-resolution photo via email, as I'd very much like to make a painting based on this photo. That's an absolutely excellent photo of hands that say both truth and kindness. Please PM me with details about this photo.

10. I wish
I wasn't able to make it to the speech. :(

I snagged the picture from the Austin-American Statesman.

4. Texas Sisters?

"As Good As I Once Was"

She said, "I've seen you in here before."
I said, "I've been here a time or two."
She said, "Hello, my
Name is Bobby Jo
Meet my twin sister Betty Lou
And we're both feeling kinda wild tonight
And you're the only cowboy in this place
And if you're up for a rodeo
We'll put a big Texas smile on
Your face"

- Toby Keith

Seems an unscrupulous booking agent is after them for skippin' out on a club date...

Well the wacky one of the two, who turns out to be gay in real life, but that's another story, gives the girls their hard to get tickets to NYC just soes the gals can get away from the brutish thug....

Well, the two boys dress up like the girls and perform the act for the escaping gals much to the delight of the nightclub crowd....

Anyway to make a long stroy short, they all end up in New England, of all places, trying to save their general from the war from bankruptcy by get this, singing fucking White Christmas......

7. Warning! Spoilers!
A Tale of Two Sisters ending / spoiler
Su-mi confronts her father about Eun-ju (the stepmother) locking Su-yeon in the closet. Confused and Frustrated, the father explains to Su-mi that Su-yeon is dead. The next day the father goes on an errand to pick up the person he's been confiding in on the phone. While he is away, Su-mi and Eun-ju have a violent showdown. The father returns to find a bloody Su-mi on the floor. He gives Su-mi pills, and she then sees the person her father brought to the house, a very different Eun-ju. Su-mi then realizes that the events that took place in the house since she returned were all in her mind, and that she was pretending to be Eun-ju all along. She is returned to the mental hospital where she reflects on the tragedy of her younger sisters death - a death that could have been prevented if she and the real Eun-ju had not had an argument.
