Prison gear for a 10 yr old? *snicker*
Hey Potter fans!

So, my 10 yr old decided today definitively that he wants to go as Sirius Black for Halloween. I am really excited about this and I have a lot of ideas on how to pull this off already. An olive green or grey shirt/coat should be easy enough to find, but does anyone have any ideas on where I can find a striped prison shirt or jumper to fit a child? Keep in mind, I DON'T sew. Wish I did, but alas I do not.

I'm going to make a sign with his prisoner # for him to carry like Sirius has (probably out of cardboard), and print out the posters that say "Have You Seen This Wizard", using Photoshop to replace Oldman's face with my sons in a screaming pose and carry them as a sign while we trick or treat... also, I'll post them in our yard and friendly neighbor/relatives yards.

Any other tips?

We're trying to talk the 7 yr old into being a Dementor or Harry or some such to get a whole theme thing happening. We'll see how that goes, heh. I want to be Hermonie! *whine*

1. for the striped shirt.
You can take a large t-shirt, like one that would fit an adult and use duct tape as the stripes. Duct tape is pretty easy to tear, so you could tear pieces in half to make it look like stripes.

5. I don't think I was completely clear when posting,
but if you put a magazine or some other stiff object in the shirt and then halve the duct tape lengthwise, you can put it on and it will look great.

I had a friend do that last year with a mummy costume. Looked really good and cost next to nothing. Duct tape is still cheap, thankfully.

2. Since this costume
may only be worn once, could you glue the strips on?
