Poll question: Norma Jean or Marilyn?
Prefer the innocence of the strawberry blonde, Norma Jean or the platinum blonde vavavoom of Marilyn Monroe? Which for you and why?

1. Ginger or Maryann
Pretty much the same sort of thing. I voted Norma Jean.

5. thank you!
I cant believe it took me so long to find this nice place. Ive been doing political forums for some time and had heard of DU before but just never made it over until recently. I must say the moderators seem to do an excellent job of keeping trolls and troublemakers at bay here.

6. Welcome to DU. The mods do a great job mostly.
Not all troublemakers are trolls. Some are just angry people that are their own worst enemy. Don't be discouraged in you get slammed in the Forum That Must Not Be Named in the Lounge.

2. I clicked Marilyn because I firmly believe that it's easier to be

miserable with money than to be miserable and poor. She still had the innocence as a platinum blond, but she finally got to choose who got in her bed.
edit for crappy spelling.

10. I saw two Marilyn movies back to back today...
Gentleman Prefer Blondes and How to Marry A Millionaire. I was inspired (and way too silly lol).

I really enjoyed the film Norma Jean and Marilyn. Having both sides of herself on screen was interesting.

8. Norma Jean: because a woman shines best if you let her be herself
This Marilyn shit was not her. It was a reflection of her. Her career was an illness, a suffering.

11. Another very interesting point...Did you see the film
Norma Jean and Marilyn? It kind of suggests that Marilyn was driven by Norma Jean's ambition, but was indeed suffering beneath the persona.

Everytime I watch it, I see something else that I didn't notice before...
