6. Verry cute...but I have one question...

Aren't regular dachshunds small already? They had to go make a smaller version? My room mate has a short hair miniature dachshund named Guido and he's cute. He's no taller than a step is high, thus he has a difficult time navigating steps.

7. Well... In terms of engineering...

they have fewer back problems at this size.

Dachshund size has been decreasing over the years; The original breed was 40-60 lbs. Current standard sized ones are 20-30 lbs. Note that the AKC does not recognize the miniatures as a separate breed at all, they compete in the same category with standards.

And we have an amazingly tiny house. Literally a shack, though the city plan calls it a "gable-front cottage".
