Show me your computer desktop!
I'm kinda curious to see what everyones desktop looks like. I think it tells an awful lot about a person. I'll go first (reduced from 1280x1024):

As you can tell, I like a clean desktop!

31. I guess my logic is
I never install anything off the internet, I only use firefox and thunderbird when connecting to the internet, and the only websites I go to (at home) are DU, HomestarRunner, Weebl Stuff, MLB, and Abandonia. Low risk of infection. I haven't had a virus since I got a bootloader virus back in '97 attached to a beer-shooting game on floppy.

Mine is integrated into the OS, and there's no desktop or system tray icon for it.

And, no, there is no anti-virus running. :-)

43. You can access all the nice widgets
like a MAC from www.konfabulator.com. The widget that displays my music CD covers is called iTunes Companion. And of course you must have iTunes for it to work. The pics are rotated by a widget called Picture Frame. Konfabulator used to cost money but now it is free since Yahoo bought the rights to it. Oh and the album cover you saw was Yello's latest, The Eye. It is a great album by a great group.

62. Wow!
:wow: ! I love the way the vertical 'tapestry' provided two perfect sidebars for icons. Makes your icons look like they belong there.

Great!

There is a major train track line behind my parents house where I grew up. When they came out with Train Simulator, I just HAD to have it! I've driven all the major engines with the thing! Glad you like my desktop. I've had that one for a long time now. Alas, it's not MY design though.

Running on Mac OS X 10.4.2 (Tiger). I must be boring; I just use a solid color (what I'd like to call "iPod green") as my desktop "picture".

102. Here's mine...
It's pretty clean--the strange aspect ratio is because it's a 15.4" laptop and is set to 1280 x 800. I like it, though, because the Japanese print is almost a perfect fit in that format!

BTW, if the icon arrangement seems a bit Macintosh-y, well... that's not an accident.

Must be perfect for watching dvds, though. Smaller black bars.

Those bunnies look a little blood-thirsty though.

122. You are correct, sir!
The screen size is specifically intended for DVD watching, although it's also really good for viewing things like wide spreadsheets or using a higher magnification for word processing files, etc. That's what I use it for, really--the DVDs go in the DVD player and get watched on television as G-d intended.

I think those are samurai bunnies--members of the dreaded Usagi clan!

Sometimes it's clean sometimes it is a mess. It's a mess right now. I was just finishing up a poster for the GOP. Notice the pager in the bottom left (Desktop Manager). It is like having four monitors. You can tell that I am in the third desktop.
