Pittsburgh probably should have beaten them today. But, that second half, especially the 4th quarter, the Pats just physically manhandled the Steelers. Brady didn't make a mistake whatsoever in the 4th. It's tough to beat a team who plays that physical, that perfect and with so much confidence. The Steelers had them on the ropes and they made a nice little comeback, then put themselves in the position to win with another last second kick from Adam Vinatieri. Man, that guy is clutch. It's not right to be that money all the time. Vinatieri is like a kicker's version of Michael Jordan, you just know that he's going to beat you every time but still you can't stop him. I'm not really a Pats fan or anything, I usually pull for underdogs, but damn if I don't appreciate greatness when I see it. And, this team is great. For sure.

1. Actually, Jordan has missed a lot of potential game winning buzzer shots.
It's just that no one tends to remember those! :o

3. oh yeah, he did that commercial chronicling how many he missed...
however, he didn't miss many - if any - of the truly big ones.

2. It doesn't look like they lost much
It says something that Roethlisberger's only two losses so far have been to the Patriots. But I don't think the Pats are a lock for another Super Bowl win. They won today, but the Patriots don't often lose two in a row.

5. yeah, there's too much parity in the NFL for anybody to be a lock
nowadays. The Pats are tough though. No doubt. Pittsburgh might do what N.E. did last year though and use a regular season loss as a learning experience and come back and beat that same team in the playoffs. No telling what could happen in the NFL nowadays though.

8. I think it could be Indy that finally does it in the playoffs
But Pittsburgh can't be ruled out. So many games are close, indicating the parity. Look at the 20-20 scores today. :hi:

10. can Peyton Manning finally do it?
that's a good question. Indy could be ready. A legitimately great quarterback leading a top notch offense. There D' looks like it's ready to whip some ass too. They just might do it.

6. I'm all about disruptions my dear CP....
I've been missing you too! I just haven't had much time to be around DU lately. I should be doing some reading right now, but I just want to kick back for a few hours and so on.

School is fine. Got a big test coming up tomorrow in International Relations, a lot of it is stuff I basically know anyway, so I'll probably do a few hours reading and studying tonight to freshen up on it. It's an essay test and I can BS my way through anything, haha.

Great to see you too, btw. So how have you been?

12. Yeah, they have the ability to recover from an iffy first half.
Including crucial injuries. They are a real team.
