When you are with a person and when the pair of you are in a group

When you are with a person, the 1-on-1 conversations can be great.

But if you two are in a group of people, do you end up feeling left out and alone?

(and if so, is it just by that one person or has it been a pattern you've noticed throughout the course of your life?)

2. I think I know what you're saying, and yes

that is generally true with me, as I am quiet, and , while I can communicate fine one on one, I am usually treated as a tree when part of a small group. I very seldom end up on the other end of the stick i.e., being the one of the two who relates better to the group, thereby making the other feel like a tree. I steadfastly try to avoid letting this happen to someone because I know how bad it feels for me - so I go so far as to sacrifice my position in a group situation in order to include the person I'm with.
