Earlier this year, I left a marriage I had been unhappy in for years. Best decision I ever made. One of the hardest things I ever did, but being honest and true to your heart ultimately has it's rewards.

9. Congrats to that step
that is something I admire.

When I went to the States to do be a nanny and a couple years later to do an internship I didn't know what to expect. A lot of people told me they admired my courage to do something like that. I never felt that way. It was something I wanted to do and I never regreted a minute.

I investigated emigrating to New Zealand. Unfortunately, according to the application I completed and the points which I accumulated, the application fee for me was $850. I have the skills which they need and the NZ Immigration Office actually sent me loads of information as to how to complete the process. But that application fee was too much. Oh well, I guess I'll stick it out where I am.

I am not totally unhappy with my life. And what I am upset about I would have the same problems anywhere, no matter where I go. But I felt like changing some things in the last weeks.

21. I am working two jobs and trying to stay sane
Thanks for asking. I was thinking about you yesterday when i heard some German students talking. Ain't that funny?

I guess you have to weigh the situation. When I left Georgia to come up here to TN where I knew absolutely nobody, I HAD to leave the old environment. Many of my problems were created in the environment I was living in. I lost ten years off my face and my stress level when I moved to Appalachia.

But sometimes it would be more stress to move. Still, I think a change of pace and place are always good for a body. You can get in a rut staying in the same place too long.

Hope today is happy. I gotta go drive in the rain. BaH! :(

22. I actually thought about moving within my city
but then I am thinking about what I need to pack and unpack and I let that thought drop again :scared: I have way too much stuff for a single woman.

Driving in rain - I hate that. But even worse is night AND rain. That is a time I absolutely dislíke driving.

Today I am doing a lot better already. My lone weekend is over even though I chatted a lot with friends on the computer.

Sorry to hear. :( Weekends are like pizza--even if bad, it's still pretty good. Monday will come soon enough.

Dad is improving. They've finally found a pain medication that is helping and he can sit up and eat. He may leave in a few days once he can move around again.

43. Oh, only since I was born.
Only half-joking there. I think at some point everyone has that thought. I moved away once, and here I am, back at square one, so to speak (I moved for school then came back to finish at a different school).
I'm feeling the need to take off again-this time across the country instead of within the state. I just got a second job so I can save money to get out of dodge. Thinking about leaving is pretty much the only thing that keeps me showing up at my main, money-makin' job.

Hang in there. Either you'll make peace with where you're at or you'll come up with a plan to get out. Whatever you do, try to make the most of what you have where you are--use the experience to inspire you somehow. Sometimes that's all you can do to stay sane.

I'm moving halfway across the country in 2 weeks. 1500 miles away from nearly all friends and family, starting a completely new career. I'm really, really excited about it. Sure, I've had "WTF AM I DOING" moments, but they've been relatively few and far between.

I'll let you know how it goes. ;)

52. I'd pretty much do anything...
like gnawing off my own leg to get out of Texas right now. And I do mean anything.

I have finally gotten reprehensor to understand just how far into the depths of depression I've sunk. We have just about paid off our car, and have only a tiny credit card bit left to pay off.

Last week I started seriously searching for ANYTHING in anywhere more liberal here as a stopping off point before heading to Canada. I have a friend in Seattle looking for me. I am fast losing my ability to do the job I got my degree in (it's become too mentally taxing-- the cognitive problems are starting to bother me). So it'll probably be an easier, and less well paying gig as some sort of admin job. It's so satisfying to finally work my way up to decent pyaing job, then feel unable to do it. :eyes:

We also have to worry about fixing up the house before we move. Which could be expensive, unfortunately. We'll have to sell "as is."

60. No way! The universe will spit us back out billions of times anyway.
That is my estimate on the low order of infinity. So many universes and alternate universes. So much space. But mainly (the higher order of infinity) we will never come back or so it will seem. But what will we care, if we don't exist yet?

69. Only if I can start off as the baby of a tremendously rich family
The things I could do, if I'd been born with Paris Hilton's money...

What I'd like best would be getting born rich, pretty, with a good singing voice, and smart. It does happen, occasionally. However, the odds of getting born extremely poor-to-starving are exponentially greater, so I'm afraid to spin that roulette wheel again...odds are I'd lose.
